lymphatic drainage

Gentle detoxification

The lymphatic system is a fundamental circulatory system within the body to eliminate waste and toxins. Not to mention, this system plays a major role in enhancing the immune system! A congested lymphatic system may cause these biological wastes and toxins to accumulate, leading to a variety of ailments such as, fibromyalgia, inflammation, arthritis, skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, skin rashes), depression, allergies and more. Detoxing the lymphatic system regularly can be beneficial for improving your health and general well-being.

A session of lymphatic drainage begins with rocking, or pressing of the body from the crown to the plantar, as well as mild stretching/releasing of the joint for the feel of inflammation, tension, irregularity and imbalance of emotion, hormone, and energy field. The terminus is then pumped at the subclavian fossa, followed by pumping of all the other lymph hubs being focused on for that session to gently drain and detoxify the system. Essential oil is applied to the nodes and a brush is then used, gliding in the direction of lymphatic vessel’s drainage. In some cases, an ultrasound machine is used based on how inflamed and congested the client is (lymphoma) as well as if a scar tissue is being worked on; the thoracic and lumbar are also massaged with hot stone if the back is worked on.
